Big News: Settle is Now in the Shopify App Store! 🎉

Shopify Orders Now Update Inventory Balances in Real Time

Historically, Settle relied on your warehouse management system (WMS) sales orders to adjust inventory levels. But let’s be real—those updates can lag. Shopify, on the other hand, knows about your sales orders immediately. So we went straight to the source.

How It Works

The moment an order comes in from Shopify, Settle reserves your inventory instantly. No more waiting for the WMS to catch up.

  • To use this feature, you’ll set a default fulfillment location with our team (this will be self-serve in the UI soon!).
  • Once the order is fulfilled, we adjust inventory based on where it actually shipped from.

If it ships from the default location → No change needed, everything lines up.

  • If it ships from another location → Settle unreserves inventory at the default location and reserves it where it was actually fulfilled.

This means real-time inventory accuracy, fewer discrepancies, and a much smoother workflow.

Shopify Billing API: Seamless Subscription Management

To make your experience even smoother, we integrated Shopify Billing API. That means Shopify sellers can now:

  • Discover and install Settle directly from the Shopify App Store.
  • Get billed for subscriptions and usage fees right through Shopify—no separate invoices.
  • Benefit from a streamlined experience supported by multiple billing providers (Shopify + Stripe).

This took a huge cross-team effort, and we’re excited to bring this level of simplicity to your financial operations.

Outbound Orders: Bringing Shopify Sales Into Settle

When a customer hits “buy” on Shopify, you get an order that needs fulfillment. Now, outbound orders from Shopify sync directly into Settle, giving you full visibility into:

  • Sales trends in real time
  • Inventory movement across channels
  • Financial insights tied to actual sales

We’ve rolled this out to 33% of our customers already, and it’s making a massive impact on their ability to forecast, plan, and grow.

One-Click Catalog Import from Shopify

Problem: You just signed up for Settle. Your catalog is empty. You need product data before you can create purchase orders, work orders, or transfers.

Solution: If your brand only manages finished goods, Settle now lets you import your entire catalog from Shopify—in just one click!

Bonus Features:

  • Already have items in Settle? You can merge Shopify imports with existing catalog items.
  • Items imported from Shopify include images for easy identification

COGS Calculation Just Got Smarter

We all know that understanding Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) is critical for your business. But for accurate COGS, you need real-time sales data. With our new Shopify integration, Settle can now:

  • Track actual sales and connect them to costs.
  • Power features like inventory forecasting, accounts receivable tracking, and even new underwriting models based on live sales performance.

We also now support all Shopify sales channels—whether it’s Shopify web, Shopify POS, or another Shopify-powered storefront. Yep, that means Settle just entered retail.

Catalog Setup Wizard: Guiding You to the Best Workflow

Setting up your catalog in the right order matters. The best setup flow is: 1️⃣ Connect Shopify → 2️⃣ Connect WMS → 3️⃣ Connect Accounting software

When done in this order, you get the full power of parent/variant relationships from Shopify, clean data merging, and a much more efficient workflow.

What’s Next?

With Settle now available in the Shopify App Store, we’re just getting started. These new features are already transforming how brands manage cash flow, inventory, and growth—and there’s more to come.

🚀 Ready to get started? Install Settle from the Shopify App Store today and take control of your business like never before!
